OUR MISSION

Our mission is to transform the lives of individuals living in economical housing by providing resources to improve their quality of life through education, financial empowerment, personal development, health and wellness.

Those living in underserved communities are often faced with certain barriers that might hinder success, such as everyday household challenges and school difficulties. We aim to improve the standard of living in these communities by providing additional support in finance, wellness, and character development, as well as by inspiring and engaging our youth in the diverse fields and science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

One Stop Cares is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that uses housing as a platform to create positive impacts in affordable housing communities by bringing valuable resources directly into these neighborhoods. Together, we can improve the quality of life for the youth and families in under-served communities through establishing solid foundations to better prepare them for future success.

Education

Education provides individuals the proper tools and critical thinking abilities to prepare them for future job opportunities. OSC partners with local organizations to support the educational development of people in and around our communities, equipping them with the hard and soft skills that are in high demand from employers today.

Financial Empowerment

Being stuck in a cycle of debt, earning too little, and not being able to save money for major financial goals like a college education are problems that can dramatically impact our lives. OSC helps nourish financial empowerment for residents in our local neighborhoods, by utilizing the power of public and private banks, credit unions, and other partner organizations.

Personal Development

Helping individuals develop strong character and leadership skills can establish a foundation for future success. OSC helps individuals to set a vision and dream big, by providing a variety of mentoring and training opportunities to help make their dreams a reality. Our Entrepreneurs Made program provides professional mentorship for aspiring business owners.

Health & Wellness

Health and wellness are essential to enjoying a high quality of life. Unfortunately, many Americans struggle with access to quality healthcare. Through forward-thinking partnerships with telemedicine and other mobile service providers, healthy living counselors, and grocery chains, OSC is able to improve the health and well-being of families in need.

One Stop Cares hosted a virtual grand opening on July 30, 2020 for the Backlot Apartments Telemedicine Center in partnership with Osceola Community Health Services.

Be a helping hand.

Our most pressing goal is to obtain curriculum, practitioners and the necessary equipment and supplies to administer educational programs at select community sites. Our vision is to deliver a combined interactive online curriculum with one-on-one physical engagements with youth and families in the neighborhoods where they live. We hope to provide exposure to such exciting curriculum as artificial intelligence principles and gaming techniques. We plan to host periodic Engage and Excite events, prompting youth to get inspired about STEM education through small demonstrations that showcase the field’s endless possibilities.
